Standard Box Lid Leash
A gear box lid should open. It just shouldn’t open all the way to the next zip code.
This is the standard box leash used on our production boxes. It limits how far the lid can open, helping prevent the lid from swinging too far and putting unnecessary stress on the hinges or box.
The leash measures 22 1/2″ from eye to eye and features 3/16″ diameter holes for mounting. It provides a simple, reliable way to keep your lid under control while still allowing plenty of room to access the contents of your box.
It’s a small piece of hardware that quietly does its job every time you open the lid. No complicated mechanisms. No moving parts to fuss with. Just a straightforward lid stop that keeps things where they belong.
